Administrative law

We assist in administrative law matters, in particular in proceedings before public authorities and administrative courts: construction, spatial planning and environmental cases, disputes with authorities, and concessions, licences and permits.

Public authority building — administrative law

How we help

Administrative and administrative court proceedings

We represent parties before public authorities, drafting applications, interlocutory appeals and appeals. In proceedings before the administrative courts we prepare complaints and objections to the voivodeship administrative courts and cassation appeals to the Supreme Administrative Court.

Construction matters

We help in disputes with building supervision authorities, and where a development on a neighbouring property is causing problems. We draft appeals, interlocutory appeals and complaints.

Spatial planning

We handle matters concerning unfavourable provisions in local zoning plans, whether already in force or being adopted, as well as proceedings concerning decisions on development conditions for projects that adversely affect neighbouring properties. We draft applications, administrative appeals and interlocutory appeals, as well as complaints to the administrative courts.

Concessions, licences and permits

We help you obtain the concessions, licences and permits you need. We file the applications and, where necessary, appeals and complaints.

Frequently asked questions

Before you call us

An authority should decide a case within one month, and a particularly complex case within two months of the proceedings being initiated.

No. As a rule, administrative courts do not hear witnesses or the parties; they review the legality of the contested act.

If the authority issued a wrong decision, the court sets it aside and orders the authority to reconsider the case in line with the court’s guidance. Only in very rare and strictly defined cases may the court rule in place of the authority.
